For 503 (67.1%) sampled polling station the results for all 23 presidential candidates plus
rejected ballot papers and unaccounted for ballot papers all match between the SBO data
and the ZEC Presidential Results by Polling Station. For 145 (19.3%) sampled polling
stations the difference is less than 1% of the total vote while for 78 (10.4%) the difference is
between 1% and 5%. For only 24 (3.2%) of polling stations is the difference more than 5%.
The match rate by province ranged from a low of 95.2% for Mashonaland Central to a high of
97.6% for Bulawayo and Manicaland.

For the 750 sampled polling stations the SBO total vote for Chamisa was 146,426 while for
the ZEC Presidential Results by Polling Station it was 146,650 a difference of only 236 votes
or less than one vote per polling station. Similarly for Mnangagwa, the SBO total vote for the
750 sampled polling stations was 162,359 while the total for the ZEC Presidential Results by
Polling Station was 162,587 a difference of only 208 again less than one vote per polling
station. Overall, the SBO total votes for all 23 candidates plus rejected ballot papers and
unaccounted for ballot papers for the 750 sampled polling stations was 324,768 while for the
ZEC Presidential Results by Polling Station the total was 325,353 a difference of 591 less
than one vote per polling station.
The difference in rejected ballot papers between the SBO data and the ZEC Presidential
Results by Polling Station for the 750 sampled polling stations was 282 (6.1%) again less
than one rejected ballot paper per polling station. There was a significant difference in the
number of unaccounted for ballot papers – only 5 for the ZEC Presidential Results by Polling
Stations, but 115 for the SBO data for the 750 sampled polling stations. This is most due,
however, to two SBO Observers who reported large numbers of unaccounted for ballot
papers who most likely included unused ballot papers in this category.
