M.C. was beaten with sticks after being accused of allowing his son to distribute MDC pamphlets from Harare. His wife and two others were also taken to the base. M.C. was detained for two days until 08/02/02 by a soldier known to M.C. at the base, and was forced to cut grass alongside other detainees.
