The NPRC must submit the report before the end of March following the year to which the report relates. The NPRC Bill envisages under clause 15 that Parliament may through the relevant Parliamentary Portfolio Committee Chairperson request the NPRC to submit reports in regard to its operations, undertakings and property. Moreover, according to the constitution, the NPRC, in addition to the compulsory yearly report, it may submit reports to Parliament on particular matters relating to national peace and reconciliation which, in the Commission's opinion, should be brought to the attention of Parliament. The NPRC Bill proposes that the Minister must lay before Parliament the reports of the NPRC within 10 days on the next sitting date from the date he or she receives them. 10 days from date on which the reports are expected to be before Parliament, the reports of the commission will be made public. The Bill further proposes that all other operational reports of the Commission will then be public after 18 months from the date to which the information relates. The actual position on this matter can only be claried as soon at the nal law is passed. 25
