The selection of testimonials reproduced below illustrate that the beneficiaries of the legal services
programmes were satisfied with the services which were rendered to them, with 98% of clients to whom the
promise card was re-administered after the conclusion of their case indicating that the organisation had kept
its promises and they had benefitted from the LRF’s intervention.
“I always thought that writing a will was an expensive procedure, but I am so grateful to the LRF for
assisting me, now I know my estate will be properly administered according to my wishes when l die.”
A village head who visited the LRF after attending traditional leaders’ workshop, wrote:
“I learnt from the training workshop that the law applies equally to both men and women. As an abused
man who holds a position of authority, it was not easy for me to seek help from my subjects or relatives
who all look up to me for guidance. I would like to thank the organisation for assisting me in applying for
a protection order which has been granted.”
“I want to thank the LRF for the help that they gave me for free. I had been going up and down with my
case from one office to another asking everybody, without getting much help, until a friend told me about
the LRF. From then my life got back on track as the service offered was totally free and the LRF team was
friendly throughout the assistance that they offered me.”
Abiyuti’s family was assisted to recover their garden which was the source of their livelihood but had
been allocated to another person by the village head. He sought help from the LRF after learning of his
rights through an outreach. He stated that:
“I hereby express my gratitude for the assistance rendered to my family. We had no hope of ever
recovering our garden. We thank you day and night for accepting this service bestowed on you by God.”
