The following classes of persons are prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of "resident" in section 2 of the Act– (a) persons employed in Rhodesia in the service of the government of a foreign country who are not citizens of Rhodesia; and (b) spouses or children of persons referred to in paragraph (a). Application for registration 5. (1) An application shall be made in form N.R. 1 and shall disclose such particulars as are required by that form. (2) An applicant may request that any of the following details be recorded and disclosed on his identity document– (a) his blood group; (b) that he is allergic to morphia, penicillin or serum; (c) that he suffers from diabetes, epilepsy, haemophilia or porphyria. (3) An applicant who makes a request referred to in subsection (2) shall submit with his application a certificate signed by a medical practitioner certifying that the information given in request refers to the applicant: Provided that– (i) a registration officer may accept any other evidence which is acceptable to the Registrar-General as proof that the information given in the request refers to applicant; (ii) a request relating to the blood group of the applicant may be accompanied by a certificate from a blood transfusion service recognized by the Registrar-General. (4)2 Any applicant referred to paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 6 of the Act shall apply for registration– (a) during the period specified for the purposes of paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of that section in respect of the designated area concerned, at any place specified for the purposes of that paragraph; (b) after the expiration of the period referred to in paragraph (a)– (i) in the case of a designated area specified in the Seventh Schedule, at any place specified in the Seventh Schedule opposite the name of the designated area concerned; (ii) in the case of a designated area not specified in the Seventh Schedule, at the office of the district commissioner whose district comprises the designated area.
