ZPP recorded a total of 124 cases containing 226 human rights violations showing a downward trajectory from the 266 violations recorded in August. In comparison to the previous month, there has been a spike in the cases of discrimination with the highest being reported from Midlands, followed by Masvingo, Manicaland and Mashonaland East.

There was an increase of Violations in September from 149 to 178 cases.There were creations of terror networks because of the violations perpetrated by Traditional Leaders.

THE restructuring exercise which the ruling Zanu-PF embarked on soon after the party 6th People’s Congress in December 2014 has shored up internal fissures which have been simmering beneath the surface.

The report highlights how the Zimbawe Republic Police made up 25% of the perpetrators of Human Rights Violations which was one of the highest figures in 2018.

The Zimbabwe Peace project recorded an increase in Human rights violations to 190 in November 2017.Most Cases of Harassment and Intimidation were linked to the BVR exercise and the Intra-party violence within the ruling part ZANU PF.

This report is based on reports from ZPP long-term community based human rights monitors who observe, monitor and record cases of human rights violations in the constituencies they reside.

The Month of October recorded a total of 235 violations. There was a rise in the violations connected to assault and most perpetrators where male affiliated to the ruling ZANU PF party.

The November 2015 report outlined Fear as a tool of Political Manipulation as ordinary people fear that there will be repercussions to support another party.

Zimbabwe Peace Project (ZPP) reports for March show a total of 123 violations which had 318 victims altogether. Of these victims 35 people (11.6%) were from ZimPF, which is a significant increase from 18 victims in February (4 % of the total 441). While the number of victims for March in general was less than from February, for ZimPF, the number of victims doubled.

There has been nearly 50% increase in the number of human rights violations from 150 in June to 223 in July, as reported by Zimbabwe Peace Project (ZPP). This is owing to a wide array of human rights violations ranging from the right to life, political rights, right to personal security, freedom of association, freedom from arbitrary eviction, property rights and the right to food among others.

This month’s report reflects that citizens were denied their right to food largely because of the political party they choose to be associated with. For instance, in Manicaland Chipo Chin’ono, Zanu PF district chairperson, is alleged to have told *Misheck Karimazondo and other MDC-T supporters to get the farming inputs from their party.

The report talks about how supporting the opposition is a costly ordeal and how rights are not only grossly trampled upon, but they are torn up in a thousand little pieces and thrown to the winds in Zimbabwe.

A total of 149 human rights violations were recorded in August down from the 223 figure recorded in July. Harassment and intimidation cases decreased in August to 80 violations, followed by theft and/or looting which recorded 22, and assault with 15. Mashonaland Central had the highest recorded violations in August with 41, followed by Harare with 36 and Mashonaland East with 24.

The report talks about how the political landscape of Zimbabwe continues to be awash with intolerance and bias. While members of opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T) are seen on the offensive in a few of the recorded instances, in the majority of reported incidences in August the ruling Zanu PF is the dominant perpetrator, a situation that continues to repeat itself.

Zimbabwe Peace Project (ZPP) reports for April show a total of 139 violations up from last month’s 123. The month under focus had 292 victims altogether. April reports were littered with cases of forced contributions of money towards the Independence Day celebrations.

There was a notable 20 percent decrease in recorded cases of human rights violations from the previous month, which should be a positive development as we go to the general election in two months’ time.

This report covers recorded incidents of civil and political rights violations from the ten provinces of Zimbabwe for the month of May 2015.The report also covers food and otheraid violations in all provinces.

With the polls fast approaching, an increase of less than 10% was recorded in violations recorded from the 176 cases recorded in February to 188. Most Violations were related to the demand for voter registration slips.

These are various human rights violations in the month of March. Civic and political rights violations were recorded in both urban areas and rural areas. In urban areas the violations were mainly the denial of the right to freedom of assembly, expression and association.

A comparative analysis revealed that human rights violations increased from 181 in the month of May to 204 in the minth of June.
