ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The observation of the 2018 Zimbabwe Harmonized Elections by the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace in Zimbabwe (CCJPZ), a commission of the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops Conference (ZCBC), would not have been possible without support from others. Appreciation goes first of all to the ZCBC, for giving CCJPZ the task to observe the 2018 Harmonized Elections as a contribution towards its broader mandate of promoting justice and peace in Zimbabwe. The presence of ZCBCCCJPZ Bishop Chairman and the ZCBC-CCJPZ Secretary General throughout the 48 hours of Election Day observation provided for the much needed guidance and legitimacy. Recognition also goes to the sister ZCBC commissions - Catholic Social Communications Commission (SOCCOM) and the Catholic Parliamentary Liaison Office (CPLO) - or ZCBC Social Concerns Cluster for their continuous presence and inputs. The election response was made possible through the cooperation of all CCJPZ offices at both national and diocesan levels. The commitment of individual observers (also known as CCJPZ animators or justice and peace actors) to follow all the electoral processes and provide timely reports for real time responses - and the compilation of this report - is greatly appreciated. The regional election observation flavour brought by the Inter-regional Meeting of Bishops for Southern Africa, whose members were present throughout the CCJPZ election observation process, was timely and critical. CCJPZ is equally grateful to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) for their reception, cooperation and good working relationship. The accreditation process of 2018 election observers was efficient. CCJPZ observation of Zimbabwe's 2018 Harmonized Elections was also made possible by the support of Caritas agencies - Catholic Development partners in Zimbabwe on ZCBC invitation. Without financial support from the Caritases, the observation process could not have been possible. Besides, their technical and methodological inputs contributed immensely to the success of the observation process and the compilation of this report.
