Analysis of Previous Election Results In elections held in the year 2000, the MDC won the Chiwundura National Assembly seat, the party however lost the seat in subsequent elections held in 2005, 2008 and 2013. In the 2013 elections, ZANU PF increased the number of votes received by 5,686 signifying an increase of 49% compared to votes received in the 2008 election.
