[Date of commencement: 7th May, 1971.] PART I PRELIMINARY 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Privileges, Immunities and Powers of Parliament Act [Chapter 2:08]. 2 Interpretation (1) In this Act— “Clerk” means the Clerk of Parliament or any person acting for the Clerk of Parliament; “Committee” means a standing, sessional, special or select committee of Parliament; “journal” means votes and proceedings of Parliament; “member” means a member of Parliament; 2
