Visa and permit fees from 17 June 2005 Changes in fees for permits and visas pursuant to Immigration (Amendment) Regulations, 2005 (No. 1), Statutory Instrument 126 of 2005, published and commencing on 17 June 2005, are as follows: 1. Urgent fees (s.9(7)) are introduced for visitors. At US$100, $150 and $200 for single, double and multiple entry, these are something over three times the regular fees, which have not changed from US$30, $45 and $55 (s.9(6)). However no definition of what is urgent has been provided. 2. Temporary residence permits and renewals thereof (s.15(3)) go up from US$100 to $300 or $500, depending on category. 3. Permanent residence permits (s.17(3)) go up from to US$200 to $500 or $1,000 depending on category. 4. Temporary employment permits (TEPs) and renewals thereof (s.22(6)) go up from US$100 and US$75 respectively to $500 each. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Temporary permits for prohibited persons (s.25(2)) go up from US$200 to $1,000. Resumption of residence (s.30(4)) goes up from US$100 to $500. Student permits (s.31(2)) go up from US$50 to $200. Scholars' permits (s.34(2)) go up from US$60 to $100. Residence fees for non-resident dependents of a citizen (s.37) are introduced at US$500. 10. Exit permit and renewal thereof for someone without travel documents (s.38) up from Z$20 and Z$10 respectively to Z$5,000 each. 11. Fee for replacement of any lost or destroyed visa or permit (s.40) introduced at US$100 each. 12. Fees for extension of visitor's visa (s.42(2)(f)) introduced at US$20 to US$100 depending on period. The charges are in respect of applications made whether granted or not.
