to be an agent of the Unit for the purpose of exercising any ofthe Unit's
functions in terms of this Act or any other enactment:
Provided that any such appointment shall be made with the
approval of the !'dinister and, in the case of(a)
a police officer, with the approval of the CorrnnissionerGeneral of Police;
(b)
a member of an intelligence service, with the approval of
the person in control or command of the service;
(c)
an employee oft he Zirnbalwvc Anti -Corruption Commission,
with the approval of the chairperson of the Commission;
(d)
an employee of the Reserve Bank, with the approval of the
GoYemor of the Reserve Bank;
(c)
an employee of any other institution or authority, with the
approval of the governing body of that institution or authority.
(4) The Director-General may delegate to any member of the Unit's
staff any function conferred or imposed upon him or her by tlus Act.

Inspectors and their powers
(1) The Director-General may appoint any member of the {Jnit's
staff and any agent of the Unit to be an inspector for the purposes of this
Act.
(2) The Director-General shall funush each inspector with a
certificate stating that he or she has been appointed as an inspector, and the
inspector shall, on d<.~mand, exhibit the cetiificate to any person affected
hy the exercise ofthc inspector's powers.
(3) An inspector may, under warrant (unless the inspector believes
on reasonable grounds that the delay in obtaining a warrant would defeat
the purpose of this subsection, and that the inspector believes he or she
would obtain the warrant from a Ivlagistrate or Justice of the Peace on
the grounds specified in paragraphs (i) or (ii) below, if he or she applied
for one) enter premises where the business of a financial institution or a
designated non-financial business or profession is being carried on and,
after informing the person in charge or control of the premises or the
purpose of his or her visit, may do any or all of the following-(a)
make such examination and inquiry as he or she considers
appropriate;
(b)
question any person who is employed in or at the premises;
(c)
require any person who is employed in or at the premises
to produce any book, account, notice, record, list or other
document;
(d)
require from any person an explanation of any entry made in
any book, account, notice, record, list or other document found
upon any person or premises referred to in paragmph (c);
(e)
examine and make copies of any book, account, notice,
record, list or other document;
take possession of any book, account, notice, record, list or
other document:
(f)
Provided that such book, account, notice, record, list
or other document shall be retained only so long as may be
