NB: The HRMs should supply information in time to break the news. b) Characteristics of News i) Timeliness  The HRMs should be quick to note that if something happens today, rather than yesterday, it has the higher chances of being news. Therefore, HRMs must strive for current information on the nature of political violence in their respective communities. 7
