EMPOWERING THE COMMUNITY TO
DEMAND HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION
Pursuant to the objective of empowering the most vulnerable members of society
to assert and claim their rights the Forum, carried out several initiatives, which
include:
a. Conducting Mobile Legal Clinics
Mobile Legal Clinics (MLC) are aimed at
improving access to justice to all by bringing
lawyers close to the people, the long term
goal being to equip individuals and
communities to be able to demand for
justice and hold the State and non-state
actors accountable for their actions. The
clinics also assisted in raising general
awareness on the rights and freedoms
citizens are entitled to and equip them with
the relevant knowledge on how to assert
and demand for those rights and freedoms.
In addition, the program was able to bridge
the gap between society and the Forum
