They were holding captive an MDC activist friend of N.B. and used him to force N.B. to open the door. As N.B. opened the door, six Zanu PF supporters held him and he was hit on the head with an iron bar and on the shoulder and lower limbs with a shovel. He was also whipped. Medical assessment SRQ-8 Score: 3 The patient was seen the day after the assault, and was admitted to hospital for suturing and observation after he sustained a deep extensive laceration to the scalp, compatible with being assaulted with an iron bar.
