In section 57— (a) in subsection (1)— (i) by the deletion of “member of a conservation committee” and the substitution of “member of an environment committee”; (ii) in paragraphs (a) and (b) by the deletion of “area of the conservation committee” and the substitution of “area of the rural district council concerned”; (b) by the repeal of subsection (2) and the substitution of— “(2) The Secretary as defined in section 2 of the Environmental Management Act [Chapter 20:27], or any other person appointed by him for the purpose, may exercise the powers conferred by subsection (1) upon a member of an environment committee in respect of any private land in Zimbabwe.”; (c) in subsection (3) by the deletion from paragraph (a) of “a conservation committee or the Natural Resources Board or any person appointed by a conservation committee or the Natural Resources Board” and the substitution of “an environment committee or the Secretary referred to in subsection (2), or any person appointed by such a committee or that Secretary, as the case may be,”. 7. In section 58— (a) in subsection (1)— (i) by the deletion of “a conservation committee” and the substitution of “an environmental committee”; (ii) in paragraph (a) by the deletion of “Natural Resources Board” and the substitution of “Secretary as defined in section 2 of the Environmental Management Act [Chapter 20:27]”; (b) in subsection (3) by the deletion of “Natural Resources Board, a conservation committee” and the substitution of “Secretary referred to in paragraph (a) of subsection (1), an environment committee”. 8.
