After NERA demonstrators were attacked by police in riot gear, Member of Parliament for Glenview North Fanuel
Munengami, John Neruwana the MDC-T district chairperson main wing, Charles Chidhagu the MDC-T youth district
chairperson and women from ZimPF were arrested. In Glenview South ward 32, another NERA march aimed at
raising awareness on the importance electoral reforms was disrupted after police officers started attacking protesters.
The march did not go as planned because armed police officers invaded the venue before the march kicked off and
dispersed people. Police went on to target individuals in their homes with the intention of arresting them. Police
wreaked havoc, assaulted people and arrested some in Mabvuku/Tafara, Dzivarasekwa, Kuwadzana and
Kambuzuma.

Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) officers went to Kuwadzana and assaulted people. Some of the victims were 2
patrons from Sunset night club.

Moses Kambarami of ZimPF was allegedly threatened with abduction by suspected Zanu PF youths as he was
campaigning for his party. His party posters were forcibly taken by the youths who went on to accuse him of trying to
return the country to colonialists. Kambarami was campaigning at Athlone Shopping Center in Harare East. The case
was not reported to the police for fear of further victimization.

Four Glen View women, Beatrice Rutsvara, Virginia Chimbeku, Esther Mutsigiri and Gladys Musindo were brutally
assaulted by police officers for almost 8 hours while in a police vehicle before they were surrendered at a police
station. They sought medical assistance after they were released from Mbare Magistrate’s court. The four were
