5.27.7. The interviews conducted in Domboshava revealed the involvement of a local police officer (from Chinamhora Police Station) and a plain clothed civilian in the assaults on villagers. A well-known mechanic from Domboshava was identified as having worked with the soldiers in assaulting villagers in public places. People spoken to also complained of having their dignity violated as some men had been made to swim in a pool of stagnant, dirty water before being beaten up.
