To the United Nations, European Union, and the United States • Publicly call on Zimbabwe to create an environment conducive to the holding of credible, free and fair elections; • Support SADC initiatives to press Zimbabwe’s political leaders to implement the agreed roadmap to free and fair elections; and • The European Union and the United States should maintain restrictive measures on President Mugabe and his inner circle, including travel bans and assets freezes, and condition any lifting of restrictive measures upon tangible human rights reforms.
